Section 251 Statements
Section 251 budget statements are compiled at the start of the financial year and show the planned spending for education for each financial year, including how much we:
- intend to spend on the local authority budget outside the schools budget
- propose to retain centrally within the schools budget for school services.
These statements inform schools and the public about our funding and expenditure plans. They provide detailed information in a form that allows benchmarking by schools forums and authorities.
