New Wave English Hub
The New Wave English Hub is one of 34 DfE designated English Hubs working across England to improve the teaching of early language and reading. The school was chosen for its track record in excellent phonics and reading teaching. The Hub offers a collaborative, supportive approach that empowers you to improve your provision of phonics and early language development to ensure your pupils get the outcomes they deserve. They can support your school in a variety of ways:
- Invite schools to visit their school and see best practice in action at their showcase events
- Review and refine action plans
- Carry out full-day school-based audits of early language and reading provision
- Offer bespoke in-school support run by a team of literacy specialists
- Fund or match fund schools to buy resources including commercial phonics packages and training
