Primary School Admissions - September 2024
Children start school in September of the school year in which they will become 5 years of age, which means most children are 4 years old when they start school.
Parents are advised to read the admissions guidance document for September 2024 entry prior to making their application as it provides information on the application process. This will be available September 2023 for the start of the September 2024 admissions process.
For Peterborough children, born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020, they are eligible to apply for a Reception place for September 2024.
The online application process opens 12th September 2023 and closes 15th January 2024. Late applications risk children not being offered a place at their preferred school.
Parents will be notified of the outcome of their application on the Primary National Offer Day of 16th April 2024.
